Griffin Choral Arts (GCA) begins its Tenth Anniversary Season Thursday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 p.m. with “WELL DONE!” at Griffin First United Methodist Church, 1401 Maple Drive.

At this event the GCA Chamber Choir will perform for the first time this season. The featured work, Gabriel Faure’s “Requiem,” will be accompanied by a professional chamber orchestra. Morten Lauridsen’s “Les Chansons des Roses,” introduced at the initial Oct. 2007 GCA Concert, will be performed by the GCA Chamber Choir. A set of pieces with Shakespearean texts will also be performed.

Concert tickets may be purchased in Griffin (Safehouse Coffee Roasters, Artistic Flowers & Gifts or Griffin First United Methodist Church), in Barnesville (Goggins Florist) or Zebulon (A Novel Experience). Other options include the GCA website or at the door, on the evening of Oct. 20. General admission tickets are $15 each.

Griffin Choral Arts aspires to enhance the cultural life of Griffin and surrounding communities by presenting a variety of choral music programs at the highest artistic level.
