The Peachtree City Chapter of New Neighbors League Club has named Diane Miller as the June New Neighbor of the Month.
Miller joined the group in July of 2014. She has been involved in many of the activity groups: Luncheons, Bunco, Fun & Friendships, Junk in Our Trunk, Pokeno, and Matinee Madams.
She was born in Pennsylvania but moved to the Cleveland area as a child. She married her high school sweetheart, Carl, and had two children, Wendy and Craig. She lived in Ohio until moving to Newnan two years ago to be near her daughter and four grandchildren.
Miller worked as a telephone operator and later as a librarian for a top law firm in Cleveland.
She has served in NNLC as Prospective Member Chair, Second Vice President, and Luncheon Assistant. Most recently, she has taken over the Pokeno group.
NNLC’s purpose is to bring newcomers to the area together so that they may meet and become friends while adjusting to new surroundings. It is a not-for-profit social organization that has a wide variety of activities. If you live in the Fayette-Coweta county area and would like more information about joining NNLC, contact Club Director Carol Jensen-Linton at 770-486-9116 or visit www.newneighborsptc.com.
