The Peachtree City Library is hosting a free healthy cooking demonstration with Chef Nancy Waldeck of Taste & Savor Wednesday, June 29, at 12:30 p.m. in the Floy Farr Room.
Space is limited and tickets are required, which can be reserved at http://nwaldeck.eventbrite.com.
“Nancy is a great instructor. I’ve learned so much from her,” says library administrator Jill Prouty, who swears by Nancy’s healthy cooking methods. “Participants should come hungry as there’s always food to sample.”
Nancy Waldeck is passionate about eating better, enjoying life and food. A breast cancer survivor who loves translating nutritional recommendations into delicious and easy meals, her skills and enthusiasm have taken her from the kitchen crew at the TBS cooking show “Home Plate” all the way to Africa where she served as Chef Instructor at the United States Embassy in Burundi.
Nancy believes that food should be fast, fun, healthy, and taste great. She has served up her better eating philosophy with a monthly cooking segment featured on “Everyday with Marcus and Lisa,” a nationally syndicated live TV show, and by teaching cooking classes at the Cooks Warehouse and Cancer Wellness at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. She is a frequent presenter at corporate and charity functions, and is the holder of the Advanced WSET certificate from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust. Her enthusiasm for wine and food is evident each week in The Friday Four, a unique e-zine containing a mouthwatering recipe, quick wine tip and 2 valuable kitchen ideas, which can be found at www.tasteandsavor.com.
Health in a Hurry is for ages 18 & up only.
