The period of March 11-20 came with two burglaries and an entering auto incident in Fayetteville. A Fayetteville man near the scene of the entering auto incident was arrested in connection with another entering auto case.

A March 14 entering auto incident involving an unlocked vehicle on Pecan Ridge Drive off South Jeff Davis Drive had officers responding to the area. While patrolling the area, officers at approximately 6:30 a.m. saw a man on foot and stopped him for questioning.

Casey Lee, 20, of Fayetteville, was arrested in connection with another entering auto case because he had items related to that case on his person, said Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Mike Whitlow.

A March 11 burglary occurred on Pilgrim Way off Ga. Highway 314. Whitlow said the break-in was reported at approximately 4:20 p.m. when the homeowner arrived at the residence.

The glass in the back door was smashed, Whitlow said, adding that jewelry and credit cards were stolen. A bottle of perfume was also found in the front yard, said Whitlow.

The investigation into the burglary is continuing.

A second burglary occurred on Chalmers Way off Redwine Road on March 12.

Homeowners returning in the nighttime hours discovered that a rear window had been shattered, said Whitlow.

A search of the house revealed that a .38-caliber handgun and jewelry were stolen, Whitlow said.

The investigation into this burglary is also ongoing, said Whitlow.
