The Fayette County Public Library hosts a free photography workshop Saturday, March 5, at 10 a.m., presented by members of the Fayette Photographic Society. Titled “Take Better Pictures,” the two-hour program is free and open to the public.

Designed to help owners of smartphones, tablets, and digital cameras understand their devices and what they can do, the session will cover such topics as: picture composition; lighting; using apps; and uploading and transferring pictures. Participants should bring their cameras or other devices with them to the workshop, as time will be allotted to answering user questions and addressing device-specific issues.

Those planning to participate are requested to indicate their intention to attend by visiting the FPS Meetup page at: http://www.meetup.com/Fayette-Photographic-Society/ and RSVPing to the March 5 event.

The Fayette Photographic Society (FPS) is a dues-based membership organization for anyone interested in photography. All levels of photographic experience are welcome. FPS holds regular meetings at the IHOP in Fayetteville on the second Monday of every month at 7 p.m.

The Fayette County Public Library is located behind the Fayette County administrative complex in downtown Fayetteville, at the southwest corner of Highways 85 and 54.  For additional information, contact the library at 770-461-8841.
