Peachtree City police have reported two burglaries and six incidents of entering auto during the past week.
A Feb. 5 burglary was reported at a residence on Yarbrough Drive off South Peachtree Parkway. The homeowner reported returning home at approximately 7 p.m. to find that her back door had been kicked-in.
The woman said she found some items out of place and the contents in the drawers of the upstairs bedrooms had been dumped out. Nothing in the home appeared to be missing at first inspection, police reports said.
A burglary on Gittings Avenue off MacDuff Parkway was reported on Feb. 5 at approximately 8:40 p.m. Forced entry was made into the residence, though any missing items were not indicated on the police report.
An entering auto incident occurred Feb. 6 at the city BMX track on McIntosh Trail. Officers responded to the scene at 5 p.m. and were told that an unlocked Chevrolet Suburban had been entered and a purse and wallet stolen from floor on the passenger’s side of the vehicle. The purse contained numerous identification cards and credit cards, according to police reports.
Another entering auto was reported at the BMX track on Feb. 7 at approximately 12:30 p.m. The vehicle owner said her vehicle was entered and a purse stolen from the floor board and a second victim reported that his wallet had been stolen. Officers were told that the vehicle’s window were partially rolled down.
A third entering auto incident was reported at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 5 at a business on Northlake Drive off Ga. Highway 54. Forced entry was made and multiple items were stolen from a purse.
An entering auto incident on Aster Ridge Trail off Holly Grove Road occurred between 9 p.m. on Feb. 9 and approximately 5 a.m. on Feb. 10. The owner said the vehicle had been left unlocked and had been ransacked though no items appeared to be missing, reports said.
A second entering auto incident occurred at a neighboring residence on Aster Ridge Trail was reported on Feb. 10. Officers said the vehicle was unlocked and various items stolen.
Also on Feb. 10, a vehicle was entered on Kenton Place near Holly Grove Road. Officers said the vehicle was unlocked and had various items stolen.
