A large motorcycle procession will be travelling through Fayetteville around mid-day on Jan. 2 to transport a Coffee County man from Douglas to Rome.
The motorcycle procession will transport the body of Rex Holcomb through Fayetteville along Ga. Highway 92 around the noon hour, said brother Lee Holcomb, who noted that local motorcycle groups might be included in the procession.
The exact time of the procession was not known due to the great distance involved in the transport.
A Coffee County resident who did a great deal of work raising money for childhood cancer, the recently-deceased Rex Holcomb had asked that he be returned to Rome upon his death, relatives said.
