Two local youth-oriented groups are offering to pick up your Christmas tree for recycling after the holidays in exchange for a donation.
Boy Scout Troop 175 will pick up and recycle your tree as part of its annual fundraiser. Email [email protected] to sign up. Suggested donation is $10 for regular trees and $15 for large (8 foot). One hundred percent of funds support Troop 175 Scouts’ training and advancement. Pickup is Saturday, Jan. 2.
The McIntosh boys lacrosse team will pick up trees this year between Dec. 26 and Jan. 17. For a donation to the lacrosse program, a player will collect your Christmas Tree from your home or business and transport it to the Peachtree City Recycling Center.
