If you’re looking for a way to relax with your friends this month, don’t miss the Senoia Tour of Historic Homes Sunday, Dec. 13, 5-8 p.m.

The tour features a candlelight tour of five historic homes and the beautiful sanctuary of Senoia First Baptist Church. You’ll get a glimpse of the interesting Southern stories captured in each home on the tour.

You’ll learn that the church was established long before the Senoia of today existed. It was first organized in 1867 and originally met in a log cabin across the street. The first church building was erected in 1871, and the current sanctuary was built in 1900 with additions added to the church in 1950 and 1993. Beautiful stained glass windows surround the sanctuary. The church bell in the steeple is from the original church building.

Other stops include the Crouch Home (292 Morgan Street), Reeder Home (239 Pylant Street), Kolbenschlag Home (258 Pylant Street), Dubé Home (78 Turin Road) and Maloy Home (30 Couch Street).

The tour ends at the Senoia Area Historical Society Headquarters where refreshments, coffee and punch will be served.

Tickets are currently available at Senoia Coffee & Cafe, Sam’s Eclectic Collection, Beyond the Door, Table Talk, Welcome Center, & Gail’s Antiques. Tickets are $15 in advance and can be purchased for $20 on the day of the tour at the Welcome Center located at 68 Main Street in downtown Senoia.
