The Peachtree City Chapter of New Neighbors League Club has presented Deedie Bedosky with the New Neighbor of the Month award for November.
Originally a Midwesterner, Bedosky moved from Missouri in order to be closer to her son Michael, his wife Ashley, and their children, Steven and Trey. Michael, a former NFL player, is currently a middle school principal at Landmark Christian School in Fairburn and Ashley owns three Lizard Thicket boutiques.
Deedie is a member of the United Methodist Church in Newnan and enjoys participating in their Bible study classes. She is also active with the P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization), a group that focuses on providing educational opportunities for women. In her spare time she loves gardening, history, museums, and antiques.
Deedie has been very active in NNLC. She has served as the Chairperson of Membership, Fun and Friendship, and Hospitality. She has participated in tours, luncheons, Pokeno, and much more.
NNLC’s purpose is to bring newcomers to the area together so that they may meet and become friends while adjusting to new surroundings. NNLC is a not-for-profit social organization that has a wide variety of special interest groups. Anyone who lives in the Fayette-Coweta County area and would like more information about NNLC, contact Club Director Carol Jensen-Linton at 770-486-9116 or visit www.newneighborsptc.com.
