“The Gift of Preparedness” is the title of a program sponsored by Fayette Senior Services Friday, Nov. 6, 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at its Peachtree City location (Gathering Place, 203 McIntosh Trail).
FSS and Piedmont Fayette Hospital’s Sixty Plus Services program are teaming up to deliver information and resources about the importance of advanced planning. It is reported that 90 percent of people say that talking about end-of-life wishes is important, but only 27 percent have actually had the conversation. Get properly prepared with the help of experts who will share real experiences, practical advice and essential information.
Speakers include: Denise Wright, Palliative Care Nurse with Piedmont Fayette Hospital; Elizabeth Winfield with The Law Offices of Elizabeth Winfield; David Mowell with Mowell Funeral Homes; Dale King with A New Start Counseling Center; and Tori Sorrells with Sixty Plus Services.
This program is $20 and includes lunch and materials. Pre-registration is required at 770-461-0813 or register@fayss.org (include name, phone number and event title). FSS members and non-members welcome. For more information, visit www.fayss.org.
