Children of Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church baked cookies and wrote notes of encouragement, then delivered them to firefighters at Neely Station in Peachtree City. The afternoon was the inspiration of Riley Scruggs, a high school student, and she enlisted fellow youth group members Jack deFrances and Nick Thompson to assist her. Parents also helped, along with the director of children and family ministries, Ellen Pfundt.
