Two men stopped in a vehicle off Milam Road were assaulted and robbed by three men in an Aug. 30 incident.
Sheriff Barry Babb said deputies at approximately 6 p.m. responded to a robbery call on Greenview Boulevard off Milam Road in north Fayette County. Babb said two men reported that they had been robbed by three men, described as black males.
The victims said that, while in their vehicle, one of the men approached the driver’s side of the vehicle and stuck the driver in the shoulder and head. The other victim, sitting in the passenger’s seat, said two men came to his window and began striking him in the head and face, said Babb.
A wallet and the keys to the vehicle were stolen during the incident, Babb said.
Babb said the three men reportedly drove off in a pick-up truck.
The two victims sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention, said Babb.
