Panthers fourth in state golf tourney

The Starr’s Mill Panthers boys golf team finished fourth in Monday’s AAAAA state tournament.

The McIntosh Chiefs finished eighth as a team. Cambridge won the team title with a +6 (290).

The Panthers scored +13 (297) behind Parker Langham (72), Josh Grenville-Wood (73), Andrew Crockett (75), Hunter Hester (77), Alex Rogers (80) and Ryan Robichaud (83).

The Chiefs scored +17 (301) with David Bartels (71), Connor Coffee (74), James Flores(77), Stefan Blain (79), Riley Botkus (87) and Jackson Lawlor (88).

In the girls state tournament, Jocelyn Gao of Starr’s Mill shot an 82 to finish in the top dozen among 72 AAAAA golfers. She qualified for state individually.
