What does travel mean? Going on an adventure. Relaxing. Meeting new people. Learning. Supporting local business and jobs. These are just a few examples of what travel means to people and communities.
To underscore how much travel affects everyone, the national theme for the 2015 Travel & Tourism Week is “Travel is____________ .”
Travel is vacationing. Travel is making memories. Travel is essential to the US economy. Travel is a job creator.
No matter how the sentence is completed, the bottom line is that travel is vital to the country and has meaning for everyone.
“The tourism industry is a huge contributor to Georgia’s entire economic well being,” said Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Chris Carr. “Our tourism assets not only draw in millions of visitors, but they also create a better quality of life for those who call Georgia home as well as increasing investment opportunities by making Georgia a great place to live and do business.”
