As is the tradition of Fayette County Post 105 of The American Legion, the group recently presented a burial flag display box to the family of a departed member.

Joe Bowers, who served in the The American Legion for 67 years, passed away in November and was buried at Camp Memorial Park.

Pictured with the display box and American flag are his daughter Robin St. John, wife Evie Bowers, daughter Ann Short and Jeff Yeater, Post 105 Commander.

Fayette County Post 105 is the oldest veterans organization in Fayette County and meets the second Monday of each month at the historic Log Cabin in Fayetteville.
