Jordan Springstroh of Peachtree City is one of the top five finalists in the Publix Georgia Marathon and Half Marathon (PGM) poster design contest.
PGM partners each year with the Graphic Design Department of Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta to create the official race poster.
Students have a 13.1 hour “Design Marathon,” which is held in October, to capture the excitement of the Publix Georgia Marathon. For the first time this year, the public will have the opportunity to participate in the selection of the official race poster.
The voting takes place PGM’s Facebook Page, https://www.facebook.com/GAMarathon, and begins Feb. 24.
The other finalists are;
Eunkyung Shin of Seoul, Korea;
Camille Nettles, Pensacola;
Albie Eloy, Perth, Western Australia;
Dosung Hwang, Seoul, Korea.
Each finalist’s poster can be seen at http://www.georgiamarathon.com/2015/02/18/2015-publix-georgia-marathon-h….
The posters, through that link, are in the order listed here with Springstroh first and then Shin, Nettles, Eloy, and Hwang.
The winner will be announced in March before the race and will be available in limited supply at the Publix Georgia Marathon Health and Fitness Expo March 20 – 21.
