The Fayette County Parks and Recreation Department is accepting volleyball registrations for both youth and high school girls’ leagues until Feb. 27.
The volleyball leagues are for girls in grades 5 – 12 and registration is on a first come, first served basis until the leagues are full.
Player fees start at $40 and include a team shirt. There will be a $10 late fee for any registrations accepted after the registration period ends if any spots are still open at that time.
Spaces are limited to the first 36 people in each of three divisions. Players will be divided into different divisions based on their grade level (Silver: 5th & 6th grades, Gold: 7th & 8th grade, HSVB: 9th-12th grade).
The Recreation Department is also seeking adult and teen volunteers to assist as team coaches, assistant coaches, line judges, and peer mentors (teens in middle or high school).
Additional information is available by calling 770-716-4320, visiting online at www.fayettecountyga.gov/parksandrecreation, or registering in person at 980 Redwine Road, Fayetteville during weekdays from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
