Run for angels in Newnan

Newnan’s annual “Run for Angels and Chicken Q” is scheduled for Feb.7 with the run beginning at 8 a.m. and the eating at 11 a.m.

The fun begins and ends in historic downtown Newnan on Greenville Street between Salbide Avenue and Savannah Street.

The 13th Annual 5K/10K road race and one mile fun run will benefit Angel’s House, a temporary shelter for children in Coweta County who are awaiting placement in foster homes.

The 5K and 10K courses are certified as Peachtree Road Race qualifiers. Prizes will be awarded to the “Best Wings” themed costumed child, adult and group.
