Get ready for the premier social event of the winter in Peachtree City – the 24th annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast.

It’s the place to be on Saturday, Jan. 24 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. with about 2,500 other friends and special guests. In case of a snow or ice, the breakfast will be held on Jan. 31.

The all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast will be in the cafeteria of McIntosh High School, 201 Walt Banks Road in Peachtree City. The menu includes pancakes, sausage, orange juice, milk, coffee and tea. Advance tickets are $7 and can be purchased from Kiwanis Club members, Key Club members at McIntosh, Stars Mill, and Landmark Christian School, and Boy Scout Troop #181. Tickets will also be available at the door for $8.00. Children under 4 are free.

Kiwanis members also hope to sell tickets (weather permitting) at the Braelinn and Kedron Krogers and Wal-Mart on Saturday, Jan. 17, and also on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at the Kroger stores.

Special breakfast guests include the New Hope Clowns, who are always a hit with both parents and kids, and officers from the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program, who will be available for questions. Key Club members will also provide face painting for the kids.

All profits are returned to the community through charitable donations and community service projects. The Peachtree City Kiwanis Club is the sole sponsor for the DARE program taught in Peachtree City Elementary schools. In connection with several other organizations, the Kiwanis Club also supports other events that center around an Art and Music Showcase held in March.
