Arrested PTC man hit with second child molestation charge

A Peachtree City man arrested on Oct. 6 on charges of child molestation has been charged with a second offense involving a 10-year-old Peachtree City girl.

Thomas Edward Zerbarini, 45, of Plantain Terrace, was charged Nov. 24 with child molestation, according to Fayette County Jail records.

Peachtree City Police Department spokesman Mark Brown said the second child molestation charge involves a 10-year-old girl from Peachtree City. Jail records indicate the offense occurred in January 2013.

Zerbarini was first charged with aggravated child molestation on Oct. 6 stemming from offenses against a 4-year-old Fayette County female that took place during early 2013 to mid-2014.

Brown said the new charge resulted from the ongoing investigation.
