The Coweta Community Foundation (CCF) is set to host a Spirit Night Nov. 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Chick-fil-a Dwarf House on Bullsboro Rd. The community can expect a fun-filled evening full of surprises.

One of the main attractions is the arrival of the Batmobile all the way from Gotham City.

The event directly supports the community as 15 percent of the proceeds go to the CCF, which then funds grants in order to impact non-profits throughout the community.

These are exciting times for the CCF. It is currently in the midst of its first county-wide fundraising campaign, “Reaching Together to Make a Difference.”

The Foundation will offer local businesses and their employees the opportunity to donate to the Foundation through payroll deductions.

Businesses and their employees are assured that funds raised in Coweta County will stay in Coweta County and benefit its citizens.

“The Foundation will continue to focus on interactive, creative ways to bring awareness to the growing needs of the community,” CCF chairperson, Ginger Jackson-Queener, said. “The Foundation is excited about continuing to impact the community in a positive, tangible way.”

CCF’s funding interests include, but are not limited to, women’s and children’s issues, public safety, education and the arts. CCF maintains a broad and ongoing grants program which does not discriminate with regard to race, sex, religion, national origin, handicap, familial status or age. Established in 1997 by the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce, CCF exists to help make the quality of life better for all Coweta County citizens. As a 501(c)3 organization governed by an entirely volunteer-staffed board of directors, CCF’s primary goal is to accept, manage and disperse gifts and bequests from individuals, organizations, corporations and estates.
