The Fayette-Starr’s Mill DAR daughters were entertained and educated with a program at the October meeting about “Forest Diversity at the Ridge Nature Area”. Dennis Chase is developing the park in conjunction with the Southern Conservation Trust. The nature area is a habitat for box turtles, deer and many other species of wildlife. It is located between Whitewater Creek and Starr’s Mill Pond and contains the first public multi-purpose trails in the county.
