The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints held its second interfaith luncheon as a thank you to all those who contributed to the summer lunch program last summer. The program provides lunches to children who have been on the free/reduced lunch program during the school year. An average of 750-800 lunches were made and delivered each day to Fayette County residents primarily, with the exception of one mobile home park just across the county line in Fulton County. Approximately 75 guests attended the luncheon, including Methodists, Islamics, Presbyterians, Lutherans, and Catholics. If any individuals or other churches would like to become involved in this program, contact Cindy Hall from Action Ministries at CHALL@actionministries.net for more information. Photo/Special.
