Kim Reindl is extremely busy these days. As the newly installed director of children’s ministries at Cokes Chapel United Methodist Church, she will be overseeing virtually every aspect of children’s ministries at the church. She says she is committed to implementing fresh, engaging, age-appropriate curriculum, lead Children’s Church and offer fun, interactive activities designed to help children to grow in their faith.
“Children tend to express their faith in God differently from adults, “she said, “but there is no doubt that their faith is real. My role is to help children grow in their understanding of faith through knowledge of the stories of the Bible and the traditions of the church.”
Reindl said she also wants children to express their faith in God through acts of service to others.
“I want the children to have the opportunity to express their love for God through love for others. In this, they realize that they are already active followers of Christ,” she said.
Coke’s Chapel’s pastor, Mark Jordan, said, “We are delighted to have Kim join us at Cokes Chapel. As a church family we have been praying for someone special to lead our children’s program. Kim brings a wealth of experience leading and directing youth, children, and adult classes and small groups.”
Jordan said he believes Reindl’s placement is a major coup for Cokes Chapel. “The addition of Kim to our staff is truly a blessing for the children and their families,” he said. “In a real sense the entire congregation will benefit.”
Reindl is a graduate of the Candler School of Theology located on the campus of Emory University where she received a master of divinity degree with a certificate in religious education. She also has undergraduate degrees in journalism and communication, and a master’s degree in communication from the University of Georgia.
Reindl is the founder of Pomegranate Christian Education and Formation. She serves as the chair of the Discipleship Ministry Team for Connectional Ministries of the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church, and previously served as the program chair for the North Georgia Chapter of Christian Educator’s Fellowship.
She enjoys reading, crafting, traveling, and “ … of course, Georgia football.” She lives in Peachtree City with her husband of 25 years, Darren, and their two sons, Clay and Matthew.
