This is the moment Army private Bryson Wood of Newnan held his newborn son for the first time. He deployed to Afghanistan in February, just days after learning his wife, Rebecca, was expecting their first child. She went into labor Sunday night and gave birth to Logan at 12:15 p.m. Monday at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Wood, who returned to his base in Colorado from Afghanistan just three weeks ago, pulled over while racing to the airport and watched his son come into this world via Facetime. He then caught the next flight to Atlanta. After arriving at Piedmont Newnan Hospital just before 6 p.m. Monday, he held Rebecca tight before taking his son into his arms. Bryson will be home for 10 days before returning to duty. Photo/Submitted.
