Commissioners expected at two events

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners has served notice that its members will be present at two upcoming events in the community outside its normal meeting schedule.

A quorum of the board is expected to be in attendance at the Community Leaders’ Breakfast Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Grace Evangelical Church, 164 Flat Creek Trail in Fayetteville. The event is being hosted by AVPRIDE and Fayette FACTOR, according to a statement released Thursday by county officials.

The commissioners are also scheduled to attend the Starr’s Mill Historical Tour Sunday, Sept. 28, at 3 p.m. The tour is being offered by the Fayette County Historical Society and will take place at 1115 Waterfall Way in Fayetteville.
