Eula Mae Thombley, 89, passed away on September 6, 2014 at her home in Peachtree City, Ga.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Clark Funeral Home in Hawkinsville, Ga. with Layman Kenneth Gregory officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. before the service. Interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Robert.
Eula Mae was a retired nurse. She spent many years as a nurse at Taylor Memorial Hospital and as Dr. Maurice Arnold’s office nurse. She also worked part-time at the Pineview Nursing Home before retiring due to health issues. She was a long time member of the Hawkinsville and Pineview Eastern Star and was a very active member of both where she served as Grand Matron.
She is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Gribble (Mike); her granddaughter, Minka Fulton (Mike); her grandson, Todd Van Buren; and great granddaughter, Lauren Fulton.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
