Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will welcome “Confirmed” to the Saturday evening worship service, July 26 at 7 p.m. This contemporary youth band is from Trinity Lutheran Church, Vale, N.C.

At the Saturday service, as well as Sunday services at 8:30, 9:45, and 11 a.m., Christ Our Shepherd high school youth will provide the sermon, drawing from their week-long mission trip to Nashville, Tenn.

Saturday worshipers are invited to “tailgate” in the south church parking lot at 5:30 p.m. Hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, and drinks will be provided; participants will bring side dishes as they are able. There they may meet “Confirmed” along with their pastor and sponsors in an informal setting.

Organized in 2011, the group has played in several churches in their area, and last summer they led worship in two Williamsburg, Va., churches.

Honors have included playing for then-presiding bishop Mark Hanson of the ELCA, and playing at Duke University Chapel.
