0A Fayetteville woman is facing criminal charges stemming from a June 27 crash that killed a Jonesboro man.
Zahra Rupani, 34, of Jay Trail, has been charged with homicide by vehicle in the second degree and a stop sign violation, according to jail reports.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Ga. Highway 54 and Flat Creek Trail, claiming the life of Alex Strickland, 37, of Jonesboro.
Investigators with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office have determined that Strickland, who was driving a motorcycle, was headed west on the highway when Rupani pulled in front of him in her 2001 Toyota Corolla.
