“Last Will and Embezzlement” starring Mickey Rooney will be shown at 6 p.m. at NCG Theater at 55 Fischer Road, Sharpsburg. The film is a documentary on elder abuse giving first-hand accounts from real life victims and is intended to help the community detect, report and prevent elder abuse. Following the film, there will be a panel of experts to lead a discussion. Admission is free. The award-winning drama department at Starr’s Mill High School will present Neil Simon’s “Proposals” at 7 p.m. in the school’s Willie Duke Auditorium. A nostalgic memory play, “Proposals” recalls one idyllic afternoon in the summer of 1953, the last time the Hines family gathers at its retreat in the Poconos.
Tickets are available in the front office at the school and at the door the evening of the performances. Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults.

The sights and sounds of The Greatest Generation will come alive when the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Dixie Wing hosts the eleventh annual “WWII Heritage Days” April 26-27. The history festival will be held at The Historical Airpower Facility, Atlanta Regional Airport-Falcon Field in Peachtree City from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. both days.The weekend will again feature historic aircraft, antique cars, vintage military vehicles, guest speakers, education displays, demonstrations by reenactors portraying Allied and Axis troops, and activities for school age kids. Highlights include an opening ceremony recognizing local WWII veterans and a 1940’s hangar dance.
The theme of the 2014 opening ceremony, Honoring The Women of The Greatest Generation, will pay tribute to women who served in the military and on the Home Front. Activities begin at 9:30am with a patriotic music program performed by Bombshells United. The Senoia Area Historical Society (SAHS) is sponsoring an easy 3-hour bicycle tour of historic Senoia for bicyclists of all ages and abilities. The tour is great for people interested in the history of the area, interesting architecture, tales of residents past and present, and the sites where such films and TV episodes have been shot. The tour starts at 9 a.m. It will begin and end at the SAHS Headquarters/Museum at 6 Couch Street in Senoia, where riders will have the opportunity to view a brief history of the town and images of some of Senoia’s key citizens and structures from the past, then ride through the Senoia Historic District, making stops in front of homes and churches. Recommended donations are $15 for adults and $10 for children under 13. All proceeds benefit the Senoia Area Historical Society. Donations are tax deductible. Helmets are required. Due to frequent stops, walkable cycling shoes are recommended.
