STARR’S MILL (track) competed at the Mill Creek meet Saturday. Madeline Hammond was second in the high jump; Alexis Farley was fourth in the long jump and second in the triple jump; Taylor Brunskole was fourth in the 110 hurdles and fifth in the 300 hurdles; Annika Strauss was fourth in the pole vault; Jolene Berthold was fifth in the pole vault; James Adams was sixth in the 1600 meters; and Hailey Gollnick was sixth in the 3200 meters.

McINTOSH (baseball) moved to 6-0 on the season following a win versus Drew Monday night. Mike Dolak got the win for the Chiefs recording 4 strikeouts in 3 innings of work. A home run by Charlie Goedtke and 3 RBIs powered the McIntosh offense. The Chiefs walloped Mt. Zion 16-1 in four innings Tuesday, as Trey Walters had three hits and three RBI, and Andrew Johnson had two hits and drove in two.

STARR’S MILL (girls soccer) won its third straight region match 13-0 over Creekside Tuesday. Scoring for the Lady Panthers were Leslie Logan (3 goals, 1 assist); Molly Moroney (3 goals); Lauren Yoss (2 goals, 1 assist); Lexy Weaver (2 goals); Riley Clark (1 goal); Jenna Currin (1 goal); Laurel Parker (1 goal); and Sarah Yoss (2 assists).

STARR’S MILL (boys lacrosse) picked up its first win of the season Monday night by defeating WHITEWATER 16-4. Coaches cited Nic Gossner for outstanding goalie play, Marco Amalfitano for dominant face-off play and Wiley Ostrowski for leading the defense. The Panthers broke open the game with six goals in the second quarter to take a 9-2 halftime lead. Eleven different players scored goals for Starr’s Mill.

LANDMARK (tennis) lost to Paideia Tuesday in a region matchup. Olivia Allensworth scored the only girls’ win with an 8-2 victory at #2 singles. For the boys, Michael Edwards and Collin McFadden won at #2 and #3 singles respectively. Landmark girls are now 2-1 in region play while the boys fell to 1-2.

McINTOSH (boys lacrosse) lost 10-5 Tuesday to Alpharetta.

SANDY CREEK (baseball) won 2-1 over East Coweta Tuesday. We won 2-1 against East Coweta. Anthony Dodd pitched a complete game giving up 8 hits and no earned runs. The game was tied at 1 in the bottom of the seventh when Andrew Hughes led off with a hit and scored from first on a two-out walk-off double by Jared Jackson.

McINTOSH (girls soccer) blanked Lakeside 3-0 Tuesday. Taylor Dowse scored the only goal of the first half, and Anna Brachy made it 2-0 with an assist from Jackie Gray. Rachel Green scored the final goal, assisted by Martha Trimbach. Excellent defense by Emily Perez, Taylor Butler, Cecily Hartman, and Chandler Wituki and keeper Hannah Graham preserved the shutout.
