Redan defeated the Fayette County Lady Tigers 52-45 Wednesday night in the AAAA state quarterfinals.
Fayette County was the last local girls’ team alive in the GHSA state basketball tournament.
The Sandy Creek Patriots, the last local boys’ team standing, plays at Columbia Thursday night in the quarterfinal round.
The winner plays either Glenn Hills or Westover Monday at West Georgia in the semifinals.
