For the sixth year, storytelling and history will intermingle at the Historic Fayetteville Cemetery when the Spirit Guides lead visitors through the cemetery path as they hear personal stories from the “ghosts” of historic Fayette residents.
The tours take place Friday October 18 and Saturday October 19th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Advance tickets can be purchased at the Main Street Office and Welcome Center located at the Historic Courthouse in downtown Fayetteville, and October 19 at the museum from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tickets will also be sold at the Cemetery each night beginning at 6 p.m. All ticket holders will be given a half hour time slot, and will take the tour in groups of 10 to 15 people. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children aged 5 – 12.

For both nights, visitors can meet actual ghost hunters from “The Ghost Girlz”, a local paranormal study group. While in line, visitors will hear the hauntingly historic southern music performed by local members of the SCV. Free refreshments of hot cocoa and treats are provided.

Also, for the month of October the museum will feature a special exhibit of Victorian Mourning Rites. Mourning jewelry, gowns and letters from the 1800s will be on display. The museum is open Thurs – Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
