An 18-year-old McDonough man has been charged with aggravated child molestation in connection with an incident involving a 13-year-old Fayette County girl.
Sheriff Barry Babb said deputies responded to an Aug. 3 sexual assault call in south Fayette County where deputies were told by parents their 13-year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted by an 18-year-old she met at a friend’s house.
Babb said the incident occurred in the driveway of the juvenile victim’s home.
Upon investigation, detectives arrested 18-year-old Taylor Schoonover of McDonough, said Babb.
Babb said Schoonover was charged with one count of aggravated child molestation and one count of child molestation.
