Mount Olive revival starts tonight
Mount Olive Baptist Church will hold its Summer Revival Wednesday through Friday, Aug. 7-9,  at 7 p.m. nightly.  The host pastor is The Rev. Melvin Ware.  Revivalists are Bishop Michael A. Strickland of Victory Tabernacle Church on Wednesday,  the Rev. Roney Howard of Faith in God Christian Church on Thursday, and the Rev. Greg Watson of China Grove Baptist Church on Friday.  Mount Olive is a leadership church in the locally based Fellowship of Christian Churches and Friends which promotes unity among churches in this area.  The church is at 1565 Ga. Hwy 92, Fayetteville.

COS hosts tailgate party
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, Peachtree City, will offer  a pre-worship “Tailgating Party” Saturday, Aug. 10, at 6 p.m. in the church parking lot. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided and grilled on the spot, with participants bringing side dishes. The party will move inside for worship at 7 p.m. The church is on the corner of Ga. Hwy. 54 and Peachtree Parkway.

Jewish religious classes start Aug. 11
Congregation B’nai Israel, the Reform synagogue of Fayetteville, will begin religious school classes Aug. 11. Classes include Torah Tots ages three to five as well as classes for students through high school, and Bar and Bat Mitzvah preparation.  Call the main office, 678-817-7162, with any questions.

CDM to host prophetic service
Christ Discipleship Ministries (CDM) will host a Prophet Chambers Prophetic Service at CDM on Sunday, Aug. 11,  at 5 p.m. The speaker will be Prophet Timothy Frazier. No nursery or childcare will be provided. For directions,  contact the CDM office, 770-969-8370.

COS starts Lucado, Frazee Bible study
New Bible study groups are being formed at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church using “The Story,” a curriculum designed by Pastors Randy Frazee and Max Lucado. A sermon series will coincide with the study. All are invited. For more information, call 770-487-8717 or check www.coslutheran.org.

GriefShare starts Aug. 21, 23 at Holy Trinity
GriefShare is being offered at Holy Trinity Church at 101 Walt Banks Rd. in Peachtree City.  GriefShare is a 13 week Christian grief recovery group for those who have lost a loved one. Each session is self-contained so one can begin attending at any time. The Wednesday evening group begins on Aug. 21 and runs from 7-9 p.m.  The Friday morning group begins on Aug. 23 and meets from  9:30-11:30 a.m. The meetings are held in room #103 in the Faith Formation Building. Prayer group meets at Summit
A community prayer group meets at The Summit Family Resource Center, 1373 Ga. Highway 92 S., Fayetteville, from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Thursday mornings.  This is an inter-denominational event. Everyone is invited. Call 770-460-3335 for more information.
