Brita Evelyn (Britt) Seebeck, 87, of Peachtree City, passed peacefully on June 18, 2013 at Serenity of Jefferson PCH after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Brita Breitz was born September 3, 1925 in Newark, N.J. She married Richard J. (Dick) Seebeck in March 1947 in East Rockaway, Long Island, N.Y. Between 1947 and 1955 they had three sons, Ed, Bob and Brian. Dick worked for NCR and they moved from New York in 1959 to Bristol, Tenn. then to Greenville, S.C. in 1964. In 1969 they transferred to Atlanta with NCR then moved to Peachtree City in 1973.

Britt also worked for NCR in Peachtree City and retired in 1989 when her husband, Dick, retired. She was very involved with the local TOPS group, loved to make ceramics with friends and enjoyed water aerobics as well. Brita was kind and loving, devoted to family and friends.

She is survived by her sons Edward (Ruth Ferver) of Warren, Pa., Robert (Susan Greeson) of Dacula, Ga., and Brian (Kathy Parrish) of Richmond, Va.; grandchildren Niels (Janine) Seebeck, Jennifer (Michael) Miller, Allyson and Katherine Blake; two great grandchildren, Sawyer and Warrick Seebeck; sister-in-law, Jean Seebeck DiGiglio of Bullhead City, Ariz.; sister-in-law Mady Seebeck of Rockville Center, N.Y.; niece Lynne (Sam) DiGiglio Khasim, of Bullhead City; and a nephew, Steven (Karlene) DiGiglio of Oneonta, N.Y.

Britt was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Seebeck; parents, Gideon and Ester Breitz; and a brother, Roy Brietz.

Dr. David Davis of Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church will conduct a memorial service at the church beginning at 4 p.m., Thursday, June 27, 2013.

Friends are invited to Bob & Susan’s house after the service for refreshments and to visit with the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org ).
