A Peachtree City woman is concerned about a crash on the golf cart path that caused severe damage to the rear of the cart May 25.
Christian Swann said her daughter was driving by the boat docks on Lake Peachtree near Battery Way when she was rear-ended by another golf cart. The other cart, believed to be a gray Club Car model driven by a male between 15-19 years old, left the scene, Swann said.
The crash knocked Swann’s cart a few feet off the path, she said.
One couple who witnessed the accident asked if the male driver hit Swann’s cart and left, but no one who saw it was able to get the cart’s tag number, Swann said.
Swann said police have been asked to investigate and two pieces of the golf cart were found near the crash scene. She asked residents to look out for a gray golf cart with damage to its front. Swann is asking anyone with information on the incident email her at christianswann@defensemanagementgroup.com.
