American Left must despise the poor

A thought occurred to me the other day: The politicians and leadership of the American Left must truly despise the constituencies they profess to support and protect.

Huh? you say. What happens when a wild animal is raised in captivity and suddenly released into its natural habitat? It usually suffers and eventually dies. The Democrat Party has for 80 years fought to increase the support for the poor, the infirm, the elderly, and the mediocre. There are now tens of millions of people who are fully dependent on the federal government for survival.

In the last four years, they have accelerated the process of enlarging the social safety net to ensnare more and more people. They have borrowed and spent to such an extent that we are now about to collapse fiscally as the baby boomers start to collect their “entitlements.” This is because you can’t pay benefits with IOUs, and there are just too many Boomers to support.

So what happens when it all falls apart and all of those government checks start bouncing? A whole bunch of people that have become accustomed to support in “captivity” are going to suddenly be set free into the wilds of the private sector.

The private sector is a habitat that only values what you can offer them and how they can make a buck from your labors. People who have nothing to offer capitalism will receive nothing from capitalism. These people are going to suffer. They have been set up for a fall.

So again, why do the Democrat socialists that claim to love the underdog want to push the system to the brink of fiscal collapse?

Perhaps they don’t really love the poor as their other constituents. Maybe they are merely using them to gain power for its own sake. Then again, maybe they truly despise their supporters and want to see them suffer. Who knows? This is just something for you Democrat voters to think about.

One way or the other the checks are about to start bouncing. What are you going to do now?
