Grief program offered at Holy Trinity

A special GriefShare Program, “Surviving the Holidays,” is being offered at  Holy Trinity Church, 101 Walt Banks Rd. in Peachtree City.  A Holiday Devotional booklet will be provided.  The session will meet Wednesday evening, Nov. 14, from 7-9 p.m in room #103, or Friday morning,  Nov. 16 in room #205 from 9:30-11:30 a.m.  For more information, contact Gayle  Reddy, 770-631-8251. 

Second Chance Thrift Shop Sale, Brooks UMC Barbecue and Bake Sale

Get a jump on holiday shopping Friday, Nov. 16 and Saturday, Nov. 17, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Second Chance Thrift Shop’s huge clearance sale. Held at Brooks United Methodist Church, the sale includes items such as furniture, toys, clothing, and a variety of household items. All proceeds from the sale will go towards missions. Also, on Saturday, Nov. 17 only, the women of the church will have a bake sale and the men of the church will cook up a barbecue lunch. COS to host chili supper

Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City invites the community to the annual chili supper and Thanksgiving Eve Worship on Nov. 21. Supper is at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, with worship at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary. At least 20 varieties of chili will be offered, with prizes awarded in several categories. Also on the menu: dozens of desserts. At worship three families will tell stories of the Pilgrims’ courage, perseverance and faith. Music will feature the Dietmeyer family. There is no charge. Christmas bazaar planned in Sharpsburg

Sharpsburg Baptist Church will host an old fashioned Christmas Bazaar Saturday, Dec. 1 from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the church on Ga. Hwy. 54.

Christmas Fair at St. Andrew’s Dec. 1

The St. Andrew’s Fine Art & Craft Christmas Fair, Saturday, Dec. 1, will feature more than 20 juried vendors showing hand-smocked children’s clothing, art gourds, jewelry, hand made soaps and lotions, pottery, art glass, angel decor, fine art, textiles, wood sculpture, handmade chocolates and candies, and more. The fair is held in conjunction with the Episcopal Church Women’s (ECW) bazaar, bake sale and golden elephant. The fair is open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the parish hall, 316 N. Heritage Christian Invites Community to Tiny Tim’s Celebration of Giving

Heritage Christian Church in Fayetteville will host Tiny Tim’s Celebration of Giving, on Friday, Dec. 7. The evening will be highlighted by the “Christ is Come” Christmas Tour by Big Daddy Weave with Special Guest Mike’s Chair at 7 p.m. Tickets are available online at http://georgia.thejoyfm.com/events. The evening will also include a silent auction of fully decorated trees, centerpieces, wreaths and more. Proceeds from the auction and concert will benefit the Joseph Sam’s School in Fayetteville and New Life Children’s Home in Port Au Prince, Haiti. The auction will close Saturday evening, Dec. 8.
