Danny John Lucsko of Peachtree City, Ga., passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 after a long and courageous fight with complications from myelodysplastic syndrome.

He was born on July 6, 1950 in Homestead, Penn., the son of the late Dan and Jean Lucsko. He had a long career in human resources, including stretches at Westinghouse, Panasonic and Metrotrans. He was an avid Steelers fan (we got six, how many yinz got?), and he loved music of all kinds. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by Susie, his loving wife of 40 years, daughter Carolyn (William) Taylor, son David Lucsko, and his beloved granddaughter Kathryn Taylor. He is also survived by his sister Sandy Lucsko, brother Gary (Tina) Lucsko, sister-in-law Amy (Bob) Deull, brother-in-law Robb (Cindy) Hogg, sister-in-law Megan (Gary) Topolosky, and many cousins, nephews, and nieces, including his goddaughter Stephanie Lucsko.

A memorial service will be held at noon on August 18, 2012 at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, Peachtree City, Ga.

The family wishes to thank the hematology and oncology doctors, nurses and staff at Emory University Hospital who cared for Danny.
