To Fayette County Voters:

I am humbled and honored by the vote of confidence I received Tuesday night. With your vote and support I am now in the Aug. 21 runoff for the Post 2 seat on the Fayette County Board of Commissioners and I can assure you I will not let you down. I will live up to the confidence you have shown in me. I am committed to accountability, fiscal responsibility and open government.

I are excited about Tuesday night’s results, however, the work has just begun. We have three weeks until the run-off, and I want to earn your support in this election. I have chosen to run for this position on the Fayette County Board of Commissioners because I love this county. I raised my son in Fayette County, and this is home. I want to serve you, and I want to be your voice on the Board of Commissioners.

I have no personal agenda. I will work for you and for whatever is best for Fayette County. I have a servant’s heart, and I simply want to serve you and Fayette County.

I will be accountable to you, the citizens of Fayette County, and I will listen to your views and comments. My door will always be open, and my phone number will always be available to the residents of Fayette County.

I am committed to zero-balanced budgeting, and I will always be frugal in spending your money. It’s time we live within our means in Fayette County, as we do in our own personal lives.

I want to bring new visions and new ideas to Fayette County, but I am committed to old-school values. I will work to insure that we preserve the quality of life we all hold so dear in this county that we call home. Fayette County is a special place, and we need to keep it that way. That is my commitment to you.

I want to thank my family, friends and supporters for all their hard work the past few months. They put in countless hours to get our message out. We need to keep this up for another three weeks. I will also be working to meet voters I did not have a chance to meet prior to the primary.

I want to earn your vote. Please give me that chance, and give me the opportunity to represent you on the Fayette County Board of Commissioners.

Thank you!

Sheila Huddleston, Candidate
Fayette County Commission – Post 2
