Fayette County Sheriff’s Office investigators made an arrest on June 17 in connection with four burglary cases which occurred on April 22, May 6, May 13, and June 17 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School.

Fayette sheriff’s spokesman Brent Rowan said investigators arrested Waris Saleem, 27, of Riverdale, charging him with four counts of burglary.

Rowan said the case involved Saleem unlawfully entering Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School on four occasions and stealing items from inside.

Investigators in another case made an arrest on June 20 in connection with a man unlawfully carrying a firearm. Investigators arrested DeAngelo Wilson, 17, of Riverdale, charging him with carrying a pistol without a license, said Rowan.

The case involved Fayette County deputies conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle where Wilson was found to be in possession of a handgun without a license, Rowan said.
