Freedom Celebration 2012 set for June 24, 25
Freedom Celebration 2012 will be hosted this year on June 24 at 7 p.m. at Flat Creek Baptist Church in Fayetteville and also on June 25 at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Newnan.The event is free to the public.  Retired 1st Lt. Clebe McClary, USMC, will be a guest speaker along with combined adult church choirs from both Flat Creek and First Baptist Churches. Family and Friend Day is June 24
Sunday, June 24, is Family and Friend Day at Freedom to Live Ministries Church, 1040 E. Ga. Hwy. 54, Suite C. in Fayetteville (towards Jonesboro, next to Prestige Portraits).This day is set aside for the church to recognize its members’ many friends. Beginning at 9 a.m. the church will offer a time of fellowship with a meet and greet. Brooks UMC VBS, June 22-24
VBS will be held at Brooks UMC  Friday, June 22, 6  – 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, June 23, 9:30 a.m, – noon; and Sunday Celebration at 11 a.m. with lunch and inflatables afterward.  The theme is  Rocky Point Lighthouse.  All kids ages three through fifth grade are encouraged to attend.  To register call the church, 770-719-7593, or email brookschurch@bellsouth.net. Christ Our Shepherd VBS, June 25-29
Vacation Bible School at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, Peachtree City, is scheduled for June 25-29 from 9 a.m. – noon. The eligible age range is age four to fourth grade. The theme is “Sonrise National Park.” Registration forms for attendees and volunteers are available at the church office or online at www.coslutheran.org/2012vbs.

FFUMC VBS, June 25-29
Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have summer Vacation Bible School June 25-29 from 9 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. The theme this year is “Praise! Where Kids Get Down and Lift God  High.” Children ages three (as of Jan. 1, 2012) through fifth grade (recently completed) are invited. Activities will include skits, karaoke, crafts, snacks, games and music, with the atmosphere centering on break-dancing, hip-hop and dance. The cost is $10 per child and includes t-shirt and music CD. Registration forms are available on the website (www.fayettevillefirst.com), at the kiosks, and from the Welcome Center.

Heritage Christian VBS, June 25-29
Heritage Christian Church in Fayetteville invites children to “Sky: Everything is Possible with God” Vacation Bible School, Monday, June 25-Friday, June 29 from 8:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. VBS is open to kids who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade and is $10 per child.
