On March 21, 2012 between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., the Peachtree City Police Department, in partnership with Fayette County Safe Kids Organization, will be hosting a free car seat checkpoint in front of the Fresh Market in the Peachtree Crossings Shopping Center.
This will be the first of several joint car seat inspections across the city this year. The event is open to the public and no appointment is necessary.
Parents are encouraged to bring their vehicle, child, and their child’s car seat. Please allow for approximately 45 minutes of time for the inspection and discussion of the car seat.
If you cannot make it to this event but would like to arrange a car seat inspection at a different time, please contact the Peachtree City Police Department at 770-487-8866 to schedule an appointment.
According to the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, seven out of 10 kids are not properly buckled into a seat in a vehicle.
Do you know when to have your child’s car seat replaced? Is there a recall on the car seat? Have you had the car seat inspected?
