Chase Corbitt Burnett, 16, of Fayetteville, Ga. passed away March 4, 2012. Chase was a 10th grade honor student at McIntosh High School in Peachtree City, Ga. Chase loved the Lord; he was a member of First Baptist Church Peachtree City. He had a zest for life, family and friends. Chase never met a stranger and made everyone feel special. He was on the Jr. Varsity soccer team, and an “EXTREME” sports enthusiast; he also recently found the love of golf. He received his primary education at Landmark Christian School in Fairburn, Ga.
He is preceded in death by his Aunt Barbara Burnett Alonso, Uncle Steven Burnett and cousin Kimberly Burnett.
He is survived by his parents David and Yvette Corbitt Burnett of Fayetteville, Ga.; brothers Tyler Andrew Burnett and Bryce David Burnett of Fayetteville,Ga; grandparents Bill and Rita Corbitt of Vinton, Va. Gene and Carol Felkner of Newnan, Ga., Jack and Carolyn Burnett of Houston, Texas; great-grandmother Gladys Boone Sink of Boones Mill, Va.; aunts and uncles Bob and Alicia Corbitt, Tom and Jan Burnett; cousins Blake Corbitt, Ashley Alonso, Jamie Mata and Justin Browning. Chase is survived by many other family members who loved him dearly.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, March 9, 2012 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church Peachtree City with Dr. Joey Rodgers and Norris Blount officiating. The body will lie in state from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the church.
