An Atlanta man has been arrested for stealing a credit card from an automobile parked at Drake Field Jan. 2, police said.
Shannon D. Mingle, 36, of Richardson Street was arrested Jan. 18 and was charged with one count of entering an automobile and four counts of financial identity fraud, police said.
Police were able to get information about where the stolen card was used, and that led to a video surveillance tape of Mingle using the card at one of the stores, police said.
Police were subsequently able to identify Mingle and issue warrants for his arrest.
There is the possibility other arrests will be forthcoming, as police work to identify other suspects who were involved in the incident, said Peachtree City Police Capt. Stan Pye.
Mingle allegedly attempted to use the credit card to purchase gift cards. Of the four purchase attempts, some were in Peachtree City and the others were in Fulton County, police said.
