Members of the motorcycling community at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Sharpsburg took their first ride together, which included a stop at the home of Bishop John Holloway and family. The group left Christ the King after morning services on Sunday, Oct. 16, and made the 40-mile ride to the city of Griffin. Father Jason administered Holy Eucharist to the Holloway family. John Holloway served as the Bishop of the Diocese of the Mid-South from 1997 until June 2007 when he suffered a massive stroke. A highlight of the visit occurred when Bishop Holloway blessed the bikers who then continued on their journey.
