The Southern Federal Credit Union announces the line up for the Battle of the Bands planned for this Saturday at the Frederkick Brown Jr. Aphitheater in Peachtree City. This event will be held from 7-11 p.m. Maguire’s Irish Pub will handle concessions, and no outisde food and beverages will be allowed.
This year’s performers are Terry Dean, Hannah McGarity and Jeremiah Mixon in the vocalist category. Vanessa Deliz and The Last Minute Band, House Of Thomas (Robbie Lee and David McCollum), Reign (Matt and Colin Duncan, Blair Morgan and Ethan Sisk), The Path, Bleed Victoria (Jessie Bock, Josh Thomas, Wayne Johnson and Chandler Ball), Caspar McCloud & The Ministry of Three, AMPPlitude, 20 AMPP, and Servant.
The Tyler Bates Band will be this year’s featured band, and will perform after the bands battle it out.
Bates was born and raised in Atlanta. Like most country singers that grew up in the Bible Belt, Ty began singing in church. Church stages led to other stages and soon singing became his life. Ty has played from Tulsa, OK to Managua, Nicaragua, all over the Southeast and many places in between. He has opened for and shared the stage with some awesome artists and groups such as Jake Owens, Little Big Town, Lonestar and many more. Being a huge sports fan, Ty has enjoyed the opportunity to sing the national anthem for his hometown Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Thrashers. Ty has just released a self-titled CD that is filled with original songs, and is currently competing for the 2011 Georgia Country Awards Favorite Male Singer. Check him out at www.tybates.com.
Besides the Judges’ Choice award, there will have a People’s Choice award that will be determined by donations. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
This will be a fun evening of entertainment. Wrist bands can be purchased before the event for $5 at The Fred’s Box Office, or at any of The Southern Federal Credit Union branch locations or for $10 at the gate.
