Fayette County Sheriff’s investigators have arrested two men in connection with incidents involving theft by deception and identity fraud.

Sheriff’s spokesman Brent Rowan said investigators made an arrest on Sept. 14 in connection with a theft by deception case which occurred on Sept. 9. Arrested subsequent to the investigation was 46 year-old Ringo Starr Stevens, of Fayetteville, on charges of theft by deception.

Rowan said the case involved Stevens using deceit to deprive a victim of $150 at the Quick Trip convenience store on Ga. Highway 85 North.

Rowan said another arrest was made on Sept. 15 in connection with an identity fraud case which occurred on May 21, 2009. Investigators arrested Rodreiqua Blue-Young, 31, of Villa Rica and charged him with two counts of identity fraud, Rowan said.

This case involved Blue-Young fraudulently cashing two checks in the amount of $981.12 and $986.13 which belonged to a Fayette County business, said Rowan.
